John Legend played the loverman with a conscience at New Orleans Jazz Fest

Early Saturday evening, shortly before the sun finally broke through the clouds to a round of cheers, John Legend told the New Orleans Jazz Fest crowd gathered in the mud at the Congo Square Stage about the Sunday suppers his grandmother cooked for him in Springfield, Ohio. "She'd make me some fried chicken, collard greens and corn bread," Legend said.
